Preschool Experience Ties; Both teams happy

Davis hits ball into outfield; demands chips and Twinkies after game, despite protests from parents

METUCHEN – Preschool Experience and the Yellow Team shook hands on the field of battle, er, Fater Field earlier this month after both T-ball teams battled to an unsurprising tie.

The game became exciting when balls starting flying off the three-foot tee with incredible velocity. Players who were drawing sand pictures of big-headed people with sharp teeth suddenly leaped to attention to field a fast-moving ball that was, well, already in the outfield.

Jimmie Nielsen hit two home runs in the game. Afterward, he celebrated by drinking water and eating cupcakes.
